Since 2000, Victoria has worked as a Licensed Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in New York City's Level 1 Trauma Center, Metropolitan Hospital which is located in East Harlem. She was a first responder during 9/11 and recognized by Mayor Guliani with a badge of courage and bravery. After moving to San Diego in 2004, Victoria continued her role as an ER nurse working at Paradise Valley Hospital, and continuing as an SRN between Sharp Chula Vista and Sharp Grossmont Hospital ER’s. After a fulfilling Emergency Nurse career, she decided to transfer her knowledge and experience to a teaching role, and became the Director of Staff Development with Ensign corporation. During this time Victoria was Certified as the organizations “Infection Preventionist”, which led to her opening and running the first and only at the time COVID Admission Unit during the pandemic. After accruing expanded knowledge in her field, Victoria was blessed to become the School Nurse at OLP where she navigated and mitigated students and staff through the state guidelines to reinstate and continue in person education safely. Victoria has returned to her role as Director of Staff Education with Links Healthcare where she will eventually retire.
