Tim Weldzius

English Teacher, Academy of Our Lady of Peace

Tim Weldzius started teaching English at OLP in August 2022.  He is currently in his twelfth year of teaching at the high school level, and has also taught in Chicago, Illinois and Green Bay, Wisconsin.  He has a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago and holds a master's degree in Education from Chicago State University.  Much of his past work experience involves teaching English learners and students with special needs.  Prior to teaching, Tim worked in journalism as a freelance writer and copy editor, and volunteered for the Aquinas Literacy Center, a nonprofit organization that provides English language instruction to adult English learners.

Tim is married and has two daughters (ages twelve and fifteen) at home.  When he's not working, he enjoys reading, running, and spending time outdoors.  His siblings and his parents all live in different parts of the U.S., and he also enjoys visiting them whenever he can.
