Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange

Sr. Florence Anyabuonwu is a sister of St Joseph of Orange. She is currently one of the Novices of the Congregation. Sr. Florence is Originally from Nigeria where all her families are all still located. She came to the United States in 2007 when she got a full scholarship to go to college. Sr. Florence attended Berea college in Kentucky and obtained her BA in Psychology and Sociology. Three years later, Sr. Florence went back to obtain an MSW from Northern Kentucky University from where she graduated in 2020. Sr. Florence is also currently a student at San Diego university, where she is trying to get an MA in theology. Apart from her busy academic schedule, Sr. Florence is missioned at St Jude’s hospital, where she is working on her clinical hours for her MSW certification. At St Jude, Sr. Florence facilitates grief bereavement group and depression and anxiety group. Sr. Florence also works with migrant families that the sisters of Orange are helping to resettle in the United States. She likes to read, travel and, sing and play the drum.
