Sara Tarango, CSJ

Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange

Sr. Sara Tarango was born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA. She has a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies with a minor in International Relations. She also has certificates in Human Resources Management, and Spanish/English Translation & Interpretation. Before entering religious life, she worked for many years as a Human Resources professional in both the wine and hospitality industries. To her great surprise, six years ago, God called her to religious life. After discerning this call for a little over a year, she decided to quit her job and she is currently a temporary professed member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange. She lives in Orange County and is exploring ministry opportunities in advocacy and eco-justice. For fun she enjoys dancing, reading, baking, hanging out with friends, and volunteering at a regenerative organic farm in San Juan Capistrano, CA.
