Poetic Justice California

Samantha Bhatia is a recent graduate from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a minor in psychology. Sam first started with Poetic Justice in 2022 as a facilitator for the in-person classes at the California Institution for Women and was immediately impacted by the participants and the PJ team! Working with justice-involved women and providing a safe space to uplift their powerful voices is something Sam has grown to be more and more passionate about. She is a firm believer in shifting the narrative surrounding incarcerated individuals by ensuring their voices are heard, and it is what she hopes to continue to do with Poetic Justice.
