Mona Powell
Founder of @Dotstash
Mona is the founder of Dotstash, a company dedicated to revolutionizing the availability, quality, and sustainability of menstrual products in public spaces. Inspired by the challenges she faced in finding menstrual products in schools, workplaces, and other public venues, Mona set out to improve accessibility while also challenging the stigma surrounding menstruation.
Beyond launching Dotstash, Mona has committed several years to volunteering with the California Menstrual Equity Coalition, gaining a deep understanding of the intersection between policy and community needs. She’s seen firsthand the progress made in menstrual equity policy in California and across the U.S., though she recognizes there’s much more work to be done in implementation.
With a background in managing programs in educational settings, Mona understands the unique challenges faced by administrators when introducing new initiatives. That’s why Dotstash not only provides high-quality affordable products but also serves as a partner to help organizations implement and sustain their menstrual equity programs effectively.
Mona holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MBA from Point Loma Nazarene University.
