Jenna Rangel ‘98 is an attorney and Partner at Haeggquist & Eck, LLP. Practicing for over 12 years, Jenna’s focus is on representing employees in claims involving wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation at work. Jenna also represents students who have faced discrimination and sexual harassment by their universities under Title IX. Jenna approaches every day as an opportunity to stand up for her clients, to help right the wrongs perpetrated by their employers or universities, and to provide closure so her clients can move forward with their lives.
Representative cases include a 2021 bench trial victory in a sexual harassment case on behalf of a longtime female Secretary against the San Diego Sheriff's Department, representing two massage therapists who were sexually harassed by male patrons of the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, and representing a renowned female scientist in a gender discrimination case against The Salk Institute. Current representation includes three well-publicized cases against public entities - a gender discrimination lawsuit on behalf of a 30-year female fire pilot against the Orange County Fire Authority, a Title IX gender discrimination case on behalf of female student-athletes of SDSU, and a sexual harassment lawsuit on behalf of two female Deputy Detectives against the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.
A native San Diegan, Jenna earned her law degree from California Western School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from CSU-Chico. In her free time, Jenna enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two young kids.
