Licensed Cosmetologist, Certified Makeup Artist

 Itzel Meza’s love for makeup began in middle school, when she would watch other girls wear mascara, blush, and concealer, wishing she could feel as pretty as they looked. In high school, she started experimenting on her own, watching YouTube tutorials and practicing new techniques. Soon, she was creating full glam looks and bold eyeshadows, with friends encouraging her to pursue a career in makeup. While Itzel initially wanted to be a marine biologist, by sophomore year, she realized her true passion lay in makeup after becoming the go-to glam artist for friends and family at special events.

After high school, she enrolled in cosmetology school and began working with Sonia Tabor, the makeup lead for Fashion Week San Diego. The fast-paced environment pushed her skills to new heights, and she’s been part of the team ever since, working toward becoming the makeup lead. As her clientele grew, Itzel expanded her work into weddings, helping clients feel their best on their big day, which has been deeply fulfilling. Her style focuses on enhancing natural beauty, though she also enjoys experimenting with avant-garde looks. Itzel’s ultimate goal is to empower women to feel beautiful, and one day work on celebrity red carpets.
