Founder of BurgerRock Media PR Agency
Dr. Irma Penunuri, Ph.D., is an editorial producer, CEO, and founder of Burgerrock Media PR agency. Her agency specializes in minority integration and creating pop culture moments. With her extensive background in fashion and comprehensive education, she has achieved numerous brand placements with A-list talent, coordinated and styled numerous Red Carpet events, and provided support to various fashion designers' brands. She has also served as a creative director, publicist, and producer for prestigious magazines, A-list celebrities, companies, and festivals.
BurgerRock Media has produced covers for renowned publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Playboy, Marie Claire, Glamour, Forbes, and Vogue. These covers have featured A-list stars including Paris Hilton, G-Eazy, French Montana, Steve Harvey, Thalia, J. Balvin, and more.
Despite her extensive roster of prestigious companies, high-profile festivals and A-list clientele, Irma’s breakthrough in the industry was her pivotal work for the Obama administration on the "Save the Latino Vote" initiative in Nevada. She led the press initiative and introduced Latin superstar rapper J Balvin to President Barack Obama. Following this campaign, many A-list celebrities were interested to discover the force behind her success and reached out eagerly to collaborate.
Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she regularly appeared on Telemundo's national morning show, Hoy Dia, and served as a fashion expert on their panel. Forbes has recognized her as a "Fashion/Entertainment New Key Power Player," and Vogue Mexico has lauded her as "the producer changing the industry from the inside."
Irma's current focus is on brand building, providing education for creatives, and driving international growth for the Burgerrock Media brand.
