Director of Housing at the Chicano Federation of San Diego County

Denisse is a passionate advocate for housing as a basic human right, dedicated to uplifting the most vulnerable residents in our community. As Director of Housing at the Chicano Federation of San Diego County, she works to expand access to safe, affordable housing and housing development while addressing systemic inequities. Shaped by her upbringing as the youngest of four children raised by a single mom from México, Denisse leads with compassion and strength, firmly believing that women must stand together to support those unable to advocate for themselves. Her expertise in government relations, nonprofit service, and real estate drives her commitment to fostering stronger, more equitable communities.

Denisse has been married to her best friend for 20 years this October and is a dedicated mom to Eva, OLP Class of 2028, and Matteo, Saints Class of 2026.
