Aida Soria Moreno '99

Executive Producer, The LOCAList SD

Co-founder, Aida Soria, graduated from San Diego State University in 2003 with a degree in Communication. After graduating, Aida worked at local San Diego news station, KUSI before transitioning to the morning show at FOX 5 and working as the executive producer for The LOCAList SD. As a third generation San Diego native, SoCal beach culture is part of her DNA and she often took trips to the beach where she noticed that swimwear design could use a revamp that reflected Latin culture. With the help of lifelong friend and co-founder, Syncletica Maestas, Hola Swimwear was born.   As co-owner of Hola Swim, her bathing suits have been featured on the pages of British Vogue, Cosmo Latina and showcased on the runways of New York Fashion Week. On the weekends, Aida likes to keep the party going by DJ'ng clubs all over town, including her monthly party GASOLINA at Parks' n Rec.

Aida enjoys traveling, fashion, art, body surfing, vintage vinyl and sports (especially SDSU basketball).  An avid volunteer, Aida serves as a volunteer for Latina Geeks and the Centro Cultural de la Raza in Balboa Park and volunteers at her parish, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Logan Heights.

Aida resides in Shelltown with her husband Ernesto and their puppy Mariposa.
